【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethoddescribesproceduresforscreeningmediaknowntocontainthehalogenatedvolatileorganiccompound(HVOC),trichloroethylene(TCE).ProcedureAistobeusedforscreeningsoilknowntocontainTCEandProcedureBistobeusedforscreeningwaterknowntocontainTCE.1.1.1BothProceduresAandBinvolvemeasuringtheTCEconcentrationintheheadspaceaboveasampleusingaheateddiodesensordevice.Fromthismeasurement,anestimatedconcentrationofTCEinthesamplecanbedetermined.AnyTCEremaininginthesampleisnotmeasured.AnyotherHVOCpresentinthesamplewillbereportedasTCE.1.2ProcedureAcanalsobeusedforscreeningtheheadspaceaboveasoilsuspectedofcontainingHVOCcontaminationtoindicatethepresenceorabsenceofHVOCcontaminationinthesoil.ProcedureBcanalsobeusedforscreeningtheheadspaceaboveawatersuspectedofcontainingHVOCcontaminationtoindicatethepresenceorabsenceofHVOCcontaminationinthewater.Forbothprocedures,anyHVOCcontaminationremaininginthesoilorwaterisnotdetectedbythistestmethod.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicationofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1Thediodesensorisheatedtotemperaturesrangingbetweenapproximately600and1000C(see)andasaresultcouldbeasourceofignition.
