【摘要】:ThismethodcoversquantitativemethodsforthesamplinganddeterminationofGram-negativebacterialendotoxinconcentrationsinwatermisciblemetalworkingfluids(MWF).UsersofthismethodshouldbefamiliarwiththehandlingofMWF.ThismethodgivesanestimateoftheendotoxinconcentrationofthesampledMWF.Usedonsite,thismethodgivesanindicationofchangesinGram-negativebacterialcontaminationintheMWF.ThismethoddoesnotreplacePracticeE2144.Thismethodseekstominimizeinter-laboratoryvariationbutdoesnotensureuniformityofresults.ThismethodisnotintendedtorelateendotoxinconcentrationinMWFtohealtheffectsofinhaledendotoxin.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
