【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtoidentifyvolatileextractablesthatmaybeemittedfrommicrowavesusceptormaterialduringuse.Itmaybeausefulproceduretoassistinminimizingtheamountandtypeofvolatileextractablesproduced.Thesusceptordesign,materialsusedormanufacturingprocessesinvolvedcanbeevaluated.1.1Thistestmethodisapplicabletocompletemicrowavesusceptors.1.2Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforidentifyingvolatileextractableswhicharereleasedwhenamicrowavesusceptorsampleistestedundersimulatedenduseconditions.Theextractablesareidentifiedusinggaschromatography/massspectrometry(GC/MS).1.3Thistestmethodwasevaluatedfortheidentificationofavarietyofvolatileextractablesatalevelof0.010g/in.ofsusceptorsurface.Forextractablesnotevaluated,theanalystshouldperformstudiestodeterminethelevelofextractableatwhichidentificationisachievable.1.4Theanalystisencouragedtorunknownvolatileextractablesand/orincorporatetechniquessuchasgaschromatography/highresolutionmassspectrometry(GC/HRMS),gaschromatography/infraredspectroscopy(GC/IR)orothertechniquestoaidinverifyingtheidentityoforidentifyingunknownvolatileextractables.TheanalystisreferredtoPracticeE260foradditionalguidance.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
